Vision
That precise measurement should be available locally. A utility, a ministry or an operator working in Oman and the region should not have to look abroad for survey, mapping, compliance or corrosion work of an international standard.
Since 1999, we have continuously improved our capabilities, adopted new technologies, and refined our solutions to meet changing market demands and evolving customer needs. We work alongside our clients as a trusted partner, not simply as a vendor, collaborating closely to understand their objectives and achieve their requirements through practical, reliable, and tailored solutions.
From national ministries and utility providers to regulators and global technology companies, our work supports the people and systems behind essential services.
Project after project, we have combined technical expertise, field experience, and practical innovation to deliver reliable solutions in surveying, geospatial intelligence, asset maintenance, corrosion management, and industrial services.
Our role goes beyond completing individual projects. We help clients understand their assets, make better decisions, and keep critical infrastructure performing throughout its lifecycle.
Repeat work is the only credential that cannot be written into a proposal.
02 · The sail in the name
The sail in our mark, and the name The Group Overseas, are more than symbols. Together, they reflect where we come from, how we work, and where we are going.
Oman’s relationship with the sea stretches back centuries. Omani vessels carried cargo along the East African coast and across to India, connecting communities and markets across the region. The sail remains a powerful part of Oman’s identity because it represents adaptability, direction, and perseverance.
A sail cannot control the wind. It must read the conditions, adjust its course, and stay on course. That principle reflects how we work: responding to changing markets, understanding our customers’ needs, and delivering practical solutions that keep operations moving forward.
The name The Group Overseas reflects our original ambition. International reach was not an objective we adopted later; it was part of our foundation. Today, that vision is reflected in offices across the Gulf and on the Gulf of Aden, along a maritime route connected to Oman’s history for centuries.
27 years later, the company remains led by the people who founded it. Their continued involvement provides stability, while the next generation brings fresh thinking, new technologies, and an ongoing commitment to improvement.
03 · Our Journey
The Group Overseas LLC is established.
5 years of consultancy for the Ministry of Housing, building the cadastral geospatial database and the web application on top of it.
A 33kV network survey in North Batinah begins the relationship that defines the record.
Geospatial database built from satellite imagery for the Ministry of National Economy.
Bathymetric and topographic survey at Taqa, then land survey for fish landing sites along the Omani coast.
The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority appoints TGO for EMF consultancy.
A global mapping platform commissions street-view mapping in Oman. A second platform follows the year after.
Street-view capture extends to Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar. In the same year TGO begins Geoportal Oman for the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning.
2 further mapping contracts awarded, while the mechanical division delivers 241 workshop and site jobs for the oilfield majors.
That precise measurement should be available locally. A utility, a ministry or an operator working in Oman and the region should not have to look abroad for survey, mapping, compliance or corrosion work of an international standard.
To measure, map and maintain the infrastructure the region depends on. TGO puts its own crews and calibrated instruments on site, reports what is actually there, and stays with a client long enough to be judged on the record rather than the proposal.
Engage a survey crew, EMF team, and corrosion specialists under a single contract, with one point of contact, one coordinated scope of work, and one invoice. TGO brings its divisions together so clients can manage interconnected requirements more efficiently, without coordinating multiple specialist contractors.
We understand Oman’s regulatory pathways, permitting requirements, and the way clients operate locally, before a project begins, not while we are learning on the job.
Drone capture, 3D scanning, calibrated field measurement, and GIS automation turn site conditions into measurable evidence, so decisions are based on facts, not estimates.
